Ambrosia Hospitality Group (AHG) is proud to present its newest concept, Josephine, located in the heart of the Carmel Arts and Design District.
AHG owners, Dan and Anna Cage, spent the first 3 months of their marriage living in a suburb of Paris just minutes from the Arc de Triomphe. During this time, they fell in love with the art, architecture, music, and of course…the culinary excellence in the City of Light. Fast forward to today. When they first saw the building that would become the home of their future restaurant, they were immediately transported back to that place and time, and Josephine was born.
The name Josephine to pays tribute to one of France’s most infamous, historical figures. Widely known as Josephine de Beauharnais, she was Napoleon Bonaparte’s first wife, Queen of Italy, and a great collector of art. Her story is one of romance, love, betrayal, and controversy – which many would say is very French.
Josephine can loosely be described as a French-inspired, contemporary tavern. Unpretentious, approachable and fun.
We are thrilled to introduce her to the Carmel community.
